Update on Landon and Ammon

Landon, the 4 year old, is now in Atlanta at a rehab. He has his trachia taken out and is doing everything on his own. He still has trouble trying to get his words and making his left side of his body work...but he is trying and making progress. He is our little Christmas magic/miracle. Ammon, well, not much has changed with him. He is still in a coma. Every now and then he seems to do things out of response but it is not consistent or even getting more frequent. We are glad he is still with us but wish there would be some progress.

Walking in a Winter Wonder Land

We went to look at Christmas lights. Hardly anyone had decorated but then we came across this house that was fabulous! There were cars lined up for 2 blocks. The acrage was quite big and they had made a real wonderland out of it. They let people walk around their yard and they even transformed their garage into Santa's Workshop. We probably walked around for 45 minutes. It was actually better than Rock City. I thanked the owners for their time and effort and I must say, it made my week. Especially when thinking about the power bill they will be having. It was a great Christmas present to everyone!

Rock City

We went to Rock City (a huge torrist attraction)to see the Christmas lights. It was really rainy when we were driving there but the temperature was warm. They handed us some emergency parkas and off we went. It was fun. It was about 10 minutes too long for Sage's liking but other than that, no complaints. Cole loved it raining because he got to splash in all the puddles. We liked it raining because there weren't a million people there.

Christmas Party

I had a Christmas Party for a few friends and their children today. Everyone who came was supose to bring a family tradition with them and we were all going to participate in the tradition. I had everyone play the paper bag game. You have to pick up the paper bag with your mouth on one foot with no hands. You fall and you are out. Each round, you cut the bag a little smaller. We then played musical pillows (another one of my family traditions). Julie had a birthday party for Christ. We had balloons and decorated cupcakes. It was a fun party and the kids also had a blast. Espcially when the balloons came out. Cole was the only kid who would play the paper bag game with us. It was fun, easy and a nice way to have some Christmas spirit with our friends.
