The party started at 6:30. First, we had some hot dogs. Then it was up to the top of the parking lot where we had a bonfire in a 50 gallon drum. We had a hay ride, cake walk, donut on a string and trunk-or-treating. I think that everyone had fun. It ended at 8:30. It was pretty cold and since my children and I all have colds, I was a little worried but the night air seemed to help Sage breath. Cole had a ball just running around and doing everything. He didn't win a cake though (because after 2 tries, he just wanted to sit on aunt Kim's lap and watch.) He had a ball on the hay ride where I let Payton take him. She sites by us at church so she can sit by my kids. I think she is 9 or something. It is nice because she is old enough that I trust her to watch my kids and she loves it and they love her. There were quite a few people who dressed up, more than usual and especially more adults. I must say though, I do love my calling but I will be excited when I get to actually enjoy an activity instead of run it. I do have help and that is great but it will be nice to go on the hay ride with my kids and walk the trunk or treat with them etc. It really did turn out well and we had quite a few inactives there too.
