The Best Advice

A few weeks ago Cannwin told how she was given the advice to give her kids 100 kisses a day. Okay, I kiss my kids way over that a day. I can't help it, they are so loveable. One day, Cole was onery. I told him to hold still so I could kiss him 100 times. He was pouting at first and by kiss 30, he was lauging his head off. He loved it. Now everyday, I stop him sometime and tell him he needs his 100 kisses. He will laugh and run off. I always get him. Today, I gave him 10 and then he ran off and I wanted to do the dishes so I stopped to do the dishes. A few minutes later I hear a timid voice say, Mom, you need to give me 90 more kisses. Of couse I dropped everything and finshed the mission. Later on I was walking down the hall and he says, "Mom, I need to give you 100 kisses!" I bend down so he can. He got to ten before he was laughing like a madman and ran off. I will take the ten.
Sage loves when I kiss her. Giving her 100 kisses is less work but not any less of a pleasure. She always laughs and wants me to kiss her tummy because, "it tickles!". She would rather get smooches than kisses though.
McKelle hasn't ever been hard to kiss on. She may grow out of this easiness though and until then, we will love on her all the time. When she does grow out of it, we will have to make it a game too. Thanks Cannwin!

Pit Crew

We went out to the mailbox and what did we find? A little package for Cole Blevins. He was pretty excited to have the mail man bring him something. He asked me what was in there but I told him I didn't know. He opens the package and much to his delight, there were "Cars" everything. He got a book a bunch of cars, a hat, and a Lightening McQueen Pit Crew costume. He was so happy. Aunt Victoria had sent it to him. She had told me she was going to but I had forgotten.

Sand Box Fun

Cole loves to play in the sand. Will decided to make him a little sand box. I thought that would be great. I put some plastic bags under the dirt so the grass wouldn't come up through the sand. The kids have loved it!
There is nothing like making sandcastles, making sand angels, and throwing sand in each others eyes to make your day great. I love that sand pebbles fill my house and McKelle loves to eat it by the handfuls. Actually, I do enjoy it because they have so much fun in it.

Then, the stupid neighborhood cats start to arrive. We find cat poo and even better, the box smells terrible because the pee in it won't drain because of the bags under the sand. I HATE cats! Becky, I know you are a fan and I do not know what is wrong with you, but we can still be friends. All I know is that the neighborhood cat had better be sneaky because if I catch it, it will be gone...permanently! I know I should cover it but I keep forgetting to get a tarp. Besides, it still irks me that I have to cover it when it is at my house. We don't have animals for those kinds of reasons. When we did, we kept them locked up. Be a good neighbor and lock up your pets.

4th weekend

Monday we went out on "Uncle Buck's" (he is not really an uncle, he is Will's first cousin. Cole has just always called him that) pontoon boat. It was really fun and it was also fun getting to know Tina and Carley. Cole and Sage still say in their bed time prayers, "thanks for letting us go on the boat". Do you think it made an impression? The water was so nice to swim in. It was just a little bit cooler thant he air so it was nice getting in and kept you just cool enough. I love when it is like that. Sage, who is so proud that she can swim by herself, was not feeling very confident in her aquatic abilities and needed Will or I to hold her the whole time swimming. That is okay, I am happy with the pool. We will take what we can get.

Our 4th was fun. We went to church, had a BBQ and then did our own fireworks. It is so nice here because you have a huge selection of fireworks and they are legal! I love it. Cole was able to light and shoot the roman candals. (This is why you need Dads. Cole would be such a sissy if I were the only parent!) It scares me to death but as long as Will is there, I don't say a word. There were a few other people on our street doing the big fireworks so we just walked up the hill and watched a great show.
